"The Labyrinth"

A steady haze blanketed over a shadowed night sky as a full moon reared it’s face out from behind a mountain. Crickets and owls cooed and chattered at one another in an odd competitive song as a bristling wind hummed behind them. Beneath the steady overcast stood the placid remnants of an old citadel, abandoned by some, taken as refuge by others. Wrapping around and about the medium civilization, iron gates jutted upwards, forming each individual prong of steel like an arrowhead, tipped with a faint noxious green substance that resembled poison.

The entrance to the fortress was rather narrow, yet surprisingly open to any outsiders who wished to simply “walk-in”. It was welcoming... too welcoming.  Within, the buildings that towered forth formed the semblance of a necropolis, casting their odd green hues across the horizon... showing activity despite being mostly empty. At the center of the bastion stood a structure that resembled somewhat of an Aztec pyramid, though through its designs, it was obvious that many undead took refuge here. From bone warriors to necromancers, from night trolls to humanoids and beasts alike, what lie behind this pyramid’s doors seemed limitless. Yet even then, there were mysteries afoot.

Beneath the decrepit town lies a massive labyrinth of sorts where staircase upon staircase and room upon room provided no straight path from end to end. Some areas proved to be unstable, where a single misplaced step could prove collapse and demise, while others, even hallways, would be riddled with traps. These structures of trickery were often hidden to the naked eye, concealed by tripwires, platforms, and a steady fog that blanketed the area lightly. From physical obstacles such as iron maws, poison arrows, flails, and swinging axes, to more enhanced pitfalls and runic traps that could disable one’s powers, and even spears, blades, and collapsing pillars, the labyrinth was truly a dangerous place to be in. But even then, these were not the limits of what hid beneath the surface.

The halls would be empty at some times, while others were patrolled by a variety of creatures. From small gremlins, cave trolls, and spiders, to bone giants, elementals, witches, serpents, black orcs, specters, and even undead champions, the place was riddled with hostility. There were also rumors that an ancient evil resided beneath the impenetrable floors of this massive maze, awaiting the time that a naive traveler would make the mistake of awakening it. But this was the only speculation for now. Only time would tell, for this fortress would have a visitor or a few very soon.

Starting Point


The main building, with the crystal on top, is the main starting point of the Labyrinth. Each of the smaller buildings will have their own post and dungeons throughout. They can be done by themselves, or for training, go through each of the buildings, one after another. The following maps are for the main building.
