Vayana have three major races. Homo-magi, innately born with the ability to weild magic. Homo-psiko, innately born with psionics; and homo-auron, innately born with energy manipulation. Be it chakra, chi, qi, etc. Basically, goku. Fay, the mother of the Vayana is the origin of these three races, being an enigma bearing the traits of these three races being created. Each of her children are born as one of these races, with very little way to predict what race one of her children will be born as. However, these races are rather unorthodox in that they can vary wildly in their biology despite having the same referential DNA.
They can be beast-folk, elvin, or very much akin to a homo-sapien. They come from a higher plane called Pandemonium, hence the introductions of these races not being widespread. However, their racial genes are dominant genes capable of turning the genes of their partner into recessive genes. Thus, a homo magi can only give birth to another homo magi, a homo psiko can only give birth to a homo psiko and a homo auron can only give birth to a homo auron. This essentially means that hybrids are not possible, and incest is impossible to produce a child from, unless they are of the same race with extremely thin blood.
Whilst Faythe is the Matriarch of the Vayana, Ender acts as the head of the family as Patriarch. Despite being rather fragile and timid on the surface, he has proven time and time again willing to go above and beyond for the sake of acting in the best interests of his loved ones. While not all members of the family have the greatest moral compass, it is rare that his authority is ever challenged as his actions are selfishly catered towards the family, rather than with any sense of good and evil. Instead he acts on what he deems right or wrong, with what's right always steering towards the benefit of his loved ones. Faythe, on the other hand, is an example of purity. Many Vayana are protective of their mother despite any moral allegiance, and is someone that ties everyone together in spite of their personal differences.
